Mural Contest
This camp provides a variety of activities such as archery, swimming, hiking, etc. When our troop visited, we found out about the River Trails mural contest. Troops or individuals can design a mural for a chance to win a free week at Camp River Trails and have their design on the front of the main building at the camp. If this camp remains, it can celebrate its 100 year anniversary with this mural contest! More information will be available soon.

River Trails
Hello Everyone,
Our Troop 20716 had the pleasure of visiting Camp River Trails-what a beautiful Camp facility-we visited in Winter and had a great time. Camp River Trails is in danger of being shut down due to the Girl Scouts owning too many facilities after the merge. It would be ashame for this site to close. It has been used for Boy Scouts as well and can be rented out not only by Scouts but other groups. Won't you help spread the word-visit the web site, visit the grounds and help Save River Trails....want to see how nice this camp really is, take a look: Camp River Trails Property Guide
What can YOU do to help Save Camp River Trails?
Write to Tim Oglesby, Director of Property for Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Tell him how important you think it is to keep great camps like this open for all Girl Scouts. Thanks for helping.

Save This Camp!
Our troop recently visited this camp and we had a blast. It provides a very fun, clean, and exciting experience for anyone looking for a good time. The camp is so connected with nature and the manager, Dave Rastall, is so courteous. As a member of Girl Scouts, we hope this camp can stay for other troops to have the great experience that we had. Everything was great, from the guided tour to the independent hiking trails. The decision will be made in March whether or not to keep this camp. Let's make sure this camp can stay for many more great Girl Scout memories!
